A teenager has been arrested in California after allegedly posting a status update 'confessing' that she had stabbed her boyfriend.
Nakasia James (18) was arrested after Dorian Powell (21) died in San Bernardino on January 11th.
Local media reports police had been searching for the teen after she posted about an incident between the pair on Facebook which appeared to detail his fatal stabbing.
James told her friends via the Facebook status update that she was on "on the run, pigs looking for me".
"Last night, my ex was drunk... and was fightn(sic) me, hit mee(sic) in the face... and I gt(sic) the knife and stabbed him".
"Ddnt(sic) think I would hurt him BT(sic) I did he died".
"God knows I didn't mean to stabb(sic) him I was mad AF he socked my in my eyes and just picked sumthin(sic) up".
In a follow up post, she allegedly wrote "I didn't mean to kill my boyf(sic) I swear on my life it was an accident".
Police were called around 2.35am, reportedly by an injured Powell himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have declined to comment on the social media post. James was taken into custody after a "tip", Lt Rich Lawhead of the San Bernardino Police Department told ABC News.
The posts appear to have been removed from James' page.
