A man is suspected of killing his father and seriously injuring his mother after being excluded from a fast food order.
Police in New Orleans believe that Ronald Pritchett (32) stabbed his parents and then fled the family home in Gretna..
A statement reveals that first responding police officers found Renta Pritchett (58) near the stairs with multiple head wounds.
Officers then located Percival Pritchett (58) who had suffered several stab wounds to his chest.
He was brought to hospital but died soon after arrival.
Police have ascertained that the couple's son Ronald had paid a visit to his parents earlier that evening and an argument about food arose.
Family members who were present when the row began say that Ronald became extremely angry, armed himself with a knife and confronted his parents.
Once he realised that their bedroom door was locked he kicked it open and began stabbing both parents.
He then jumped into his father's car and left the scene.
Ronald was arrested at a relative's house in Mississippi last night after police there traced his father's car.
He was taken into custody by police officers.
