Snowboarder spends 21st birthday rescuing malnourished horse buried in snow for four days
A snowboarder's plans for his 21st birthday drastically changed when he came across a stranded horse stuck in four feet of snow.
Chilean Rafael Pease set out that morning with his Go Pro, planning on spending a few hours on "the fresh powder" after "the first storm of the season".
However, after pointing out a 'large rock' in the distance to his boarding companion, the pair quickly realised that the 'rock' was in fact a horse who had spent four days in the snow.
Fearing for the malnourished animal's life, Pease and his friend shovelled away the snow that has fallen up to the horse's underbelly - and sourced some nuts for it to eat.
The pair then guide the weak horse off the mountain, filming the rescue all the while.
