'SEX and the City' star Sarah Jessica Parker has donated her famous shoes and bags to a fundraiser for the distraught family of an Irish schoolgirl.
Kalie Gill (15) died in a car accident in New York in October and her 12-year-old sister Lindsey remains badly-injured in hospital where her parents maintain a constant vigil at her bedside. .
The actress was out shopping on McLean Avenue buying Irish sausages and rashers from 'Butcher's Fancy' which is owned by Leitrim man Oliver Charles.
"She's very normal, we got a picture with her," Mr Charles told the Irish Independent.
"After she heard about the accident she rang up Oliver asking 'what can I do to help?'"
Parker, who owns a house in Donegal, loves the Irish neighbourhood and shops and eats there regularly.
"There are seven pairs of shoes signed by her and a number of designer handbags," said the butcher about the treasure trove of goodies the actress donated. Mr Oliver's three daughters have been busy pricing the goods for the auction and bids will begin at $2,000.
