Sarah Palin's husband recovering in hospital after 'bad' accident in Alaska
The husband of former US Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is recovering in hospital after a "bad" accident in Alaska.
Todd Palin was injured in a snow machine crash in Alaska last night.
A statement from the Donald Trump presidential campaign has described the accident as "bad".
The Trump campaign said that the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate is returning home to be with her husband.
An associate of Todd says he is expected to recover.
Scott Davis, Todd Palin's former snowmobile racing partner, said Mr Palin's father, Jim, told him he was injured and in the hospital but would be okay.
Mr Davis raced for years with Mr Palin in Alaska's annual 2,000-mile Iron Dog snowmobile race.
In the 2008 Iron Dog, Mr Palin broke his arm in a high-speed crash, but he and Mr Davis still finished in fourth place.
