Rachel Dolezal called for a boycott of Exodus: Gods and Kings because of the characters’ inaccurate race portrayal.
In a past interview with radio show host Taylor Weelch, Dolezal called for the boycott of the film Exodus: Gods and Kings because European actors portrayed the biblical North African figures.
Speaking to KYRS radio station, Dolezal called the film "highly offensive".
“We need to boycott that film from my perspective because it’s miseducation, it’s misrepresentation and it’s highly offensive to the people that actually were living during that time and also to people today,” Dolezal said in the interview.
Dolezal also accused the film of ‘shredding ancestry and history’, calling it ‘disturbing’.
Yesterday, the former NAACP President spoke on the Today program about the controversy surrounding her own identity.
"I identify as black.. I don't put on black face as a performance. This is not a mockery".
