US PRESIDENT Barack Obama has failed to stop smoking and needs to eat better to lower his cholesterol, according to a medical that found him otherwise fit and "in excellent health".
White House physician Captain Jeffrey Kuhlman carried out 48-year-old Mr Obama's first medical examination as commander-in-chief and urged him to continue using nicotine gum.
He also recommended "a daily exercise programme, healthy diet and moderation in alcohol intake". (© Daily Telegraph, London)
