The 50-year-old mum-of-two sat back as she became an object of decoration for 20-month-old Lily Oppelt at an Easter card-creating session during a visit to the Walter Reed National Military Centre.
Michelle spent the day with Lily and thirteen other children between the ages of six months and eight years old. The children all have a Wounded Warrior parent receiving medical care at the facility.
Lily stuck a variety of floral stickers on Michelle’s face as the wife of US President Barack Obama laughed and joked with the children.
“This is the best part of my day — with so many great families, you guys. But, more importantly, I get to shine a light on you all, our military families and our military kids,” Obama said. ”Because you all are our heroes, especially our kids. Do you know — hey, hey, kids, do you guys know you’re heroes?
“You guys are heroes. You’re, yes, that’s Spiderman,” Obama continued as one child gestured.
Michelle brought White House dogs Bo and Sunny along for the visit and a basket of cookies in the shape of the dogs and the White House, ABC New reports.
