In what almost seems like a sequel to Bad Cattitude One, which hit Portland last month when a 22-pound cat carried out a crazed attack, Bad Cattitude Strikes Again has seen another feline unleashing its claws.

Unlike the Portland based cat however, this one - named Khat - did not have a ‘history of violence’ and launched into the frenzy seemingly at random.

The two-and-a-half year old pet with a cute appearance scratched the face of the owner’s sister, the arms and legs of its owner and caused deep gashes in the legs of the pair’s 10-year-old brother.

All three were reportedly treated for superficial wounds. Khat was taken to the SPCA (American RSPCA) by the fire department.

“The cat ran and jumped on his leg and was like, attached to him,” the owner, who asked not to be identified, told ABC’s local News 10 channel.

“He's never been an aggressive cat, he's never been mean, he just flipped,” she addded.

Firefighters attended the house in Roseville, California after police were called as the city’s animal control centre was closed.

It was “absolutely a first for us,” Fire Captain Derek Carey said. “We tried to push it into a cage, and it grabbed on to my engineer's boot and turnout bottom and was hissing and going off.”

He said firefighters lured the feline into a cage using a metal pole and throwing a fire blanket over it.
