Man flies across US with haul of fireworks
AN airline passenger claims he was allowed to take more than 200 fireworks on two flights in the United States.
Paul Jones (29) from Manchester, flew across the US from Kansas to Houston -- and back to the UK -- with a bag of bangers and a lighter. Mr Jones says he was unaware of the security implications.
It was only at Heathrow Airport that officials expressed concern, he said.
A spokesman for the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said officials were investigating the claims.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Mr Jones's airline, Continental, said screening was the TSA's responsibility.
