Man (61) falls into gorilla enclosure in LA Zoo
Reports say the the animals have been secured

A 61-year-old Los Angeles Zoo employee was rescued by firefighters Thursday morning after falling at least 20 feet into a gorilla enclosure, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said.
The man was in fair condition after suffering a possible fractured femur at the zoo, located in Griffith Park, the LAFD said in a statement.
Fox News said the 61-year-old worker was conscious and had not been attacked by an animals.
It was reported that the zoo’s animals had been secured by staff.
“Animals secured and LAFD Urban Search and Rescue members assessing the situation and preparing necessary equipment to access patient,” the agency tweeted at 8:40 am.
In a news release, the Fire Department said the patient was "safely extricated" and was transported to a hospital.
