ONE of Lance Armstrong's biggest defenders has said he now feels a "chump" after the disgraced cyclist confessed to doping during his career.
Journalist Rick Reilly joined the stream of former employees, teammates and report-ers in realis-ing that the legacy of the man they had support-ed was drug-tainted.
Mr Reilly said he had spent 14 years defending Armstrong (pictured) only to be "made to look like a chump".
He said Armstrong had sent him an email earlier this week stating: "I'm sorry. All I can say for now but also the most heartfelt thing too. Two very important words."
