CIA is tops for patriotic students
Monday October 22 2001
Campuses reported that the agency was attracting record applications after launching a recruitment drive at universities for "the extraordinary individual who wants more than just a job".
Following September 11, the agency is desperate to attract people with an international background especially those who have studied the Middle East.
It marks a dramatic turnabout on how the CIA is viewed. Previously the agency's recruiters were widely vilified because of universities' opposition to CIA "dirty tricks".
