Californian cement plant worker goes postal and shoots two people dead - reports
A Northern Californian quarry worker opened fire at a plant killing two people and injuring four others, according to reports in the US.
Local police confirmed that two are dead and at least four injured after reports of the shooting at the Permanente Quarry in Cupertino on KGO-TV.
The suspect is allegedly not in custody.
According to the Santa Clara County website, Permanente Quarry is a limestone and aggregate mining operation and cement plant located in the foothills above Cupertino.
It has been reported that the shootings may have taken place at a safety meeting that occurs every morning at the quarry at 4am.
An employee allegedly attended the meeting armed with an automatic rifle and a handgun and opened fire.
