Asperger's teen teaches gang of bullies a lesson
A teenager with Asperger's syndrome has given a gang of bullies who tricked him into joining their group and then beat him up a lesson about what life is truly like for him.
Gavin Joseph was attacked by a group of people he thought were his friends. He was left with bad bruising, concussion and a broken nose.
However, rather than pressing charges, Gavin, from New Baden, Illinois, decided to teach his attackers a different lesson.
He asked that the attackers and their families watch a 20-minute video that he made in which he explained what life is like for him and the hurt and damage they had done to him. He also asked them all to write an essay on Asperger's.
Gavin's mother Cortnie Stone shared his story on Facebook, a post that has been shared over 100,000 times.
