Always on their minds . . . fans flock to Elvis grave 33 years on

Thousands of Elvis Presley fans filed past his grave in the early hours yesterday, to mark 33 years since the icon's death.
Flowers and photos lined the entrance to the grave site at the former mansion of 'the King of Rock 'n' Roll', Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. The property is is also the resting place of Elvis's father Vernon, his mother Gladys and grandmother Minnie Mae.
The procession is the highlight of a week-long series of fan-club meetings, film showings and Elvis tribute artist contests. Before the night-time walk, fans from all over the world gathered under a tent across the street from the mansion to listen to performers belt out Elvis tunes.
Shelley Somerville flew from Australia with her husband for their honeymoon. "Elvis has touched a lot of hearts, and there's something spiritual about him," said Ms Somerville, a 31 year-old administrative assistant. "
He died at Graceland on August 16, 1977.
