Audio reveals the shocking moment a 911 operator in Ohio told a distraught woman to "quit crying" after she called to report that she had been raped.
The 20-year-old woman told the operator: "A small male, white boy with a white shirt. Immediately arrest him, I'm nervous."
The response was less than sympathetic: "Ma'am you're going to have to quit crying," she said. "So I can get the information from you."
The victim, clearly even more upset by this response, replies: "Don't you understand how horrified I am ... I don't know the kind of things you deal with every day, but the kind of sympathy you have now is zero."
Police went on to arrest and charge a 30-year-old man with rape and burglary in relation to the attack. A 911 supervisor has said that while the call could have been handled in a better fashion, the operator will not face any discipline because the victim did receive help.
