Una Foden ringing in New Year's at home in Tipperary
Singer Una Foden has been sharing some snaps of some Irish delights as she travelled back to her homestead in Tipperary to ring in the New Year.
The Saturdays singer posted pictures of ‘‘a bit of Irish comfort food’’ and sparkly tinsel hanging on a plant declaring, that would happen ‘‘only in Ireland.’’
The mum-of-one has been enjoying some of her Irish food favourites since she took a break from her hectic work schedule and visited family in her hometown.
Last night she posted a snap of a large bowl of soup alongside thick homemade brown bread, topped off by a glass of Guinness.
The svelte pop star is having a break for the holidays and treating herself to some goodies.
She also posted a picture of a packet of Tayto crisps insisting, ‘‘They get me every time I’m home.’’
Accompanying a snap of potato cakes, she gushed how great it felt to be home saying, ‘‘Potato Cakes by Mammy! #goodtobehome x.’’
Una decided to spent the New Year celebrations with her family in Ireland after spending Christmas in Chester with husband Ben Foden's family.
The singer, who lives in the UK with her rugby player husband and their two year old daughter Aoife Belle, also caught up with her old pals from home saying, ‘‘Lovely catch up with my Irish besties xxx.’’
The proud pet-owner also showed off her precious black cat, ‘‘My 18 year old cat "Mushroom" how well does she look?! X.’’
Una is set to make an appearance on the diving show ‘Splash!’ in January where she will complete against fellow celebrity contestants under the tutoring of Olympic diver Tom Daley.
She is the second celebrity in the new series of ‘‘Splash!’’ to suffer an injury during training.
The star revealed that she had broken her toe while rehearsing her dive for the ITV show.
