British singer/songwriter M.I.A. has reportedly confirmed that she is working with Italian fashion house Versace on an unspecified collaboration.
Following last week's fruitless rumour that Lana Del Rey was the new face of Versace, we now have news of another singer and Versace tie-up.
British singer/songwriter M.I.A. has reportedly confirmed that she is working with the Milan-based fashion house on a collaborative project.
Speaking at New York's Museum of Metropolitan Art on Sunday to promote her new book M.I.A., the Paper Planes singer unwittingly revealed three desktop folders titled "Versace Prints", "Bootleg Versace" and "Versace Outlines" as she connected her laptop up the venue's projector screen. Asked later if this meant she was working with the storied brand, she said yes, reports Spin .
Although Versace are yet to confirm or deny the news, if true, the collaboration isn't completely out of the blue - M.I.A., 37, has attended a number of Versace shows, and was even photographed alongside Donatella for a fashion-meets-music editorial in W magazine last year.
