Once Victoria Beckham has endorsed it, you know it's going to take off.

The designer is famous for her penchant for high heels, only publicly wearing flat shoes a handful of times over the years.

But, even the former Spice Girl needs to give her tootsies a break.

She tweeted a photo of a black crocodile skin loafer by Manolo Blahnik, saying: "Thank u @ManoloBlahnik, obsessed with this flat! x vb #NYFW #VBAW14".

And Blahnik, who became a style sensation after Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw was devoted to his heels on the hit series.

It's easy to understand why Beckham was sporting a cosier shoe behind the scenes before her Autumn/Winter 2014 showcase at New York Fashion Week, attended by her husband David and four children Rome, Brooklyn, Cruz and Harper.

With each new collection Victoria hopes to break the boundaries of fashion more. She feels a lot more confident now than she did when she first launched the label.

Keeping it simple at Victoria Beckham

"For my first season, I put my signature dresses on the catwalk and there are a lot of them in the selling campaign," she added.

"They're great dresses and they do have the fashion message in them, but I think each season the more people understand me and my brand, the more I can push it a little bit. And I enjoy doing that because I've got lots of ideas that I want to try."
