Prince Harry’s girlfriend Cressida Bonas has taken on a theatre job.
The blonde socialite apparently forfeited her dream of becoming a professional dancer in order to make a living wage of £20,000-a-year.
The 24-year-old is said to be very down to earth and doesn’t want to rely on her royal boyfriend for anything.
“Cressie was very upset to give up on dance performance. But she is fiercely independent and doesn’t want anything through her connection to Harry,” a source told UK newspaper The Sun.
“She said she knew that if she was ever given major roles she would always wonder whether she had earned it or whether it was given to her because of her status. She’s such an honest, sweet girl and in many ways is like Diana. Harry is just smitten.”
The paper goes on to reveal Cressida and 29-year-old Harry have been spending breaks at her family farm in Norfolk, and were there last weekend.
The farm is said to be just 20 minutes from the Sandringham estate, and Harry reportedly met Cressida’s father Jeffrey there.
The pair seem to enjoy a fairly low-key relationship, having quiet dates like any normal couple.
Harry and Cressida were spotted having a bite at Byron Hamburgers in Kensington, London on January 13, putting to rest rumours the couple were on the rocks.
