Roscommon teen Celine Mulligan, 15, had the time of her life at One Direction's gig at the O2 last night.

For a diehard One Direction fan like Celine Mulligan, seeing the boys in concert was a dream come true. The fivesome sent Dublin into a tailspin last night with their last Irish gig at the O2 as part of their European tour, and Independent.ie was the only place to get your hands on last minute tickets.

We chose Celine, 15, from Co. Roscommon, as our winner of our fan competition on Twitter for the last two tickets in town, and we certainly made the right choice. The dedicated fan was joined by her best friend Caitlin McHugh, 15, from Mohill, Co. Leitrim for the once-in-a-lifetime concert and the girls had the time of their lives. Her trip to the O2 was even sweeter as Celine had previously purchased tickets for last week's gig, but had mistakenly had the date wrong and wound up missing the gig.

"I think she cried for about two days," her mother Geraldine said. "It was awful. She and her best friend Cait would be big One Direction fans and were devastated when they realised they had the wrong tickets. But they were over the moon at winning the tickets to last night's show.

"They had an absolutely incredible time and she was so excited when she came home at about 2am. She was sitting next to Niall Horan's father Bobby and all of his friends, which made it even more special for her."

We had the last two tickets to the gig, and piled through countless entries from fans on Twitter dying to get their hands on tickets, but secondary school student Celine won us over with her charm...and multiple entries.
