Niall Horan's Irish Christmas cancelled due to weather

One Direction's Niall Horan cursed the stormy Irish weather in an expletive filled tweet ahead of Christmas.

The Mullingar native had planned on taking a well deserved break and heading home to Co Westmeath for the holidays, but he's been forced to stay in London now due to the weather.

A Code Orange is in effect in Ireland and there is equally stormy weather in the UK, causing travel chaos this Christmas.

Niall, who is fast beating Harry Styles as the band's most famous womaniser, will be joining the Horans for Christmas tomorrow, along with his friend Willie Devane, have tweeted they are looking for somewhere to spend the big day.

"Well this is s**t! Looks like we ain't going home for Xmas! F**k you wind," he wrote.

His friend sent a similar tweet, saying: "Wanted: two spaces at a Christmas dinner table this side of the Irish Sea for myself and @NiallOfficial."

One place he won't be spending Christmas is with Victoria's Secret model Barbar Palvin, whom he was linked to earlier this month after they were spotted on a date at the X Factor finals.

Speaking recently, Niall's mum Maura said her 20-year-old son is not mature enough for a serious girlfriend.

“He's a real happy-go-lucky lad. He wants to enjoy life and isn't ready to settle into a steady relationship as far as I know just yet.”

But Maura conceded “what goes on in London, stays in London”.

She added: “When he has something to tell me, he'll tell me. He's a good, gentle character. They are in that position where they'll meet lots of |girls.

“A girl he'll go for dinner with here and to the pictures with there – but I'm not sure they are all girlfriends.”
