Prince Harry will formally introduce his girlfriend to the royal family this month.
It seems the 29-year-old's relationship with Cressida Bonas is getting serious, following speculation he has asked her to marry him. Harry wants senior members of his family to get to know Cressida and thinks Prince George's christening will the perfect opportunity.
"Behind closed doors, Cressida is already spending a lot of time staying with Harry at Kensington Palace, so the next step is to meet the family properly. In royal terms, it will really make things official between them," a source told British magazine Grazia.
Cressida has been informally introduced to Harry's father Prince Charles, but is yet to meet his stepmother Camilla, Queen Elizabeth II or Prince Philip. It has been previously claimed that the 24-year-old dancer is worried about making a good impression, but Harry is convinced she will fit in.
"As George's christening will be a private event, it's the perfect time for Cressida to talk to the family without having all eyes on her," the insider explained. "Harry knows how nervous she is, so he wants to make it as easy as possible."
Prince William and his wife Catherine's son George will be christened on October 23 at St James' Palace.
Harry and Cressida have been dating for around 15 months and the blonde beauty is apparently spending most of her time at Harry’s apartment in London.
It was recently claimed Harry is ready to commit to Cressida.
“Harry has done everything to assure Cressida that she could cope. Living at Kensington Palace with Harry has helped,” the insider added. “Harry loves Cressida and wants to settle down with her, so he’s been preparing her for royal life in private."
