Russell Brand is apparently going to impress Jemima Khan with a candlelit ferry ride.
The wild-haired funnyman will be in the British city of Liverpool this weekend as part of his Messiah Complex tour, but doesn't want to miss out on spending his first Valentine's Day with Jemima.
The romance doesn't stop with the nautical feast, with 38-year-old Russell also planning a trek up a 500ft tall tower.
"Jemima has been to a few of Russ' gigs, but mainly around the London area. She hasn't ventured up north too much. But tonight will be different as it's their first Valentine's Day together as a couple, and they didn't want to spend it apart," a source divulged to British newspaper Daily Star.
"On the boat ride he's planning a candlelit picnic for his sweetheart, and then afterwards they'll head to the top of St John's Tower. It's nearly 500ft tall and the views at night are amazing."
Russell, who was previously married to pop singer Katy Perry, is hoping that his celebrity status will mean he can get some privacy while at the top of the tower, says the insider.
"Because it's used as a radio station, Russ reckons his DJ connections will secure them a private area for hanky panky."
Russell recently spoke about how strongly he feels about Jemima, when he made a guest appearance on the UK's Jonathan Ross show.
He revealed to the chat show host how happy he was and there's even been speculation that Russell's ready to pop the question, after reports surfaced claiming he had commissioned a ring to be made.
"Whatever Russ decides on, you can bet it'll be a night to remember for Jemima. He doesn't do things like this by halves. He really wants to show her just how romantic and serious he can be," the source added.
