The daughter of designer bigwig John Rocha will create two capsule collections for the company, which is renowned for its denim offerings

Simone's pieces will be for spring and pre-spring, with the debut items making their first appearance in July.

"It's an exciting prospect to work on this project, learn from J Brand's denim expertise and see how it evolves over the coming months in the run up to the winter launch," she is quoted as saying by British newspaper The Telegraph.

Simone is a rising star in the world of fashion and is gearing up to show at London Fashion Week, which kicks off at the end of next week. Last year she received the emerging designer prize at the British Fashion Awards.

J Brand are known for teaming with hip new designers and have worked with the likes of Christopher Kane and Proenza Schouler in the past.

"Simone has developed such a strong aesthetic in a very short space of time," the company's CEO Jeff Rudes explained. "Her maturity and sense of direction as a designer is unparalleled for her generation; we are thrilled to have Simone creating a capsule collection with us."

He told WWD J Brand has been following Simone's career and think she is the "perfect" choice to work with the firm.

Jeff praised her "mature aesthetic" and gave a few minor details about what fans can expect from the upcoming line. While he shied away from revealing exactly what's in store, he promised the pieces will be "tight, curated and edited".
