Irish actor Jamie Dornan embraces Christian Grey for Fifty Shades role
The Down native returned to his modelling roots as the face of the new Hogan campaign
Irish actor Jamie Dornan has drastically pared back his look for his latest saucy role.
The former model was last seen on Irish screens as a brooding, creepy serial killer in The Fall.
Roll on a few months and the Belfast native is getting into the character of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of smash hit erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey.
And he couldn't look more different.
The actor's new clean cut look includes an impressive quiff and some trendy threads, a far cry from his role as night-time stalker Paul Spector in the hit Belfast based series.
With well-groomed brown locks and sharp dark suits, Dornan seems to have slotted straight into the role of the controlling businessman for the movie.
The former Calvin Klein model is best known to TV audiences for his roles in The Fall and Once Upon a Time and has returned to his modelling roots as the new face of Italian menswear brand, Hogan.
He sports a preppier look, suitable of his billionaire character, in the latest campaign.
Recently released promotional posters for the hotly anticipated film show Dornan looking out onto the Seattle skyline in a crisp suit.
The actor, who once dated Keira Knightley, became a dad for the first time in November when his wife Amelia Warner gave birth to their first child.
Dornan stars alongside Dakota Johnson, who is playing Anastasia Steele in the film.
Producer Michael De Luca revealed that the film will not be as sexually explicit as E L James's novel.
De Luca also praised the co-stars and said the two actors get on great on and off screen.
"The chemistry is there, they genuinely like each other. They're enjoying the story, the story is so powerful."
Fifty Shades of Grey will be released in cinemas on Valentine's Day 2015.
