THE IFTAs' red carpet turned into a glamorous showcase for Irish fashion.
From Louise Kennedy to John Rocha, Simone Rocha to Dawn FitzGerald and Synan O'Mahony to Don O'Neill, there was a push from the style queens to wear Irish and shop local.
Rosanna Davison wore a column dress in black silk velvet with deep plunge and shoulder bow detail from the Dawn FitzGerald Atelier in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre while Claire Byrne chose a long navy silk jersey dress with jewelled belt by Louise Kennedy.
Seated in the front row, 'Love/Hate' actress Aoibheann McGinnity caught the eye of lots of TV viewers but what they couldn't see was the dramatic plunge back on the high-necked ivory jersey dress by Marion Murphy Cooney from Nenagh.
Saoirse Ronan wore a modern and youthful look from Simone Rocha. The short black dress had sheer chiffon panels and she completed her look with Simone's signature perspex white brogues.
Susan Loughnane picked up her IFTA wearing a John Rocha peek-a-boo patchwork dress of chiffon and velvet with Loulerie jewellery from Louise Stokes' Chatham Street.
Amanda Byram borrowed a Rachel Gilbert dress and wore Mawi jewellery and Gina shoes.
The boys opted for snazzy, especially Robert Sheehan, whose Chess London outfit of cerise pink shirt, sequinned dickie bow, skinny black jeans and black patent boots attracted most comment.
Brendan Courtney wore an Oliver Sweeney suit from Indigo & Cloth with Comme des Garcons shoes... and white socks.
