Actress, model and singer Vanessa Paradis has lent her Gallic charms and gap-toothed grin to H&M's latest Conscious campaign.
The 40-year-old former flame of Johnny Depp is the first celebrity face to front the campaign for the Swedish giant's environmentally-aware line of clothing. Using materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Tencel, the Conscious collection aims to ensure style and sustainability go hand-in-hand.
"I like being part of something like the Conscious collection at H&M. I try my best to shop consciously, and vintage is very much part of my wardrobe," said Paradis. "I love the style and it works in an eco-friendly way because I like to use and reuse old clothes."
Multi-talented Paradis is better known for her association with iconic French fashion house Chanel, for whom she has fronted both handbag and cosmetics campaigns.
To coincide with the spring/summer 2013 campaign, H&M are also set to launch an in-store garment collecting service. Customers will receive an H&M voucher for every bag of unwanted clothing they take into selected H&M stores. The initiative aims to prevent clothing from going into landfill sites. Clothing can be from any label, but customers are limited to handing in two bags per day.
The collection fronted by Paradis will be available at H&M stores worldwide and online from March.
