Things were looking a little dodgy for Kate Moss a matter of weeks ago.
She'd been ousted from her Mango throne by hot young thing Miranda Kerr, who proceeded to vamp it up ( with an enormous blow-dry ) for the waiting press at the campaign launch, leaving Mossy's stint as the face of the brand looking rather limp by comparison.
But we should never have doubted her cast-iron status as the world's greatest model, as she's proved this week alone. In a matter of days she's racked up two major campaigns - shunting a fellow super in the process - and frolicked like a teenager on a St Barts beach, all bed-headed and Brigitte Bardot eyes, for a shoot with Patrick Demarchelier.
First up is her campaign for footwear heavyweight Stuart Weitzman, for which she's replaced Natalia Vodianova. Shot by Mario Testino, she wears a variety unbuttoned garments and her signature mussed-up 'do. Her behaviour on the shoot even led Weitzman to tell The Cut that "she's a good example" and "super professional", proving then when she wants to, Moss really can mean business.
Today she added spring/summer 2013 campaign number two to her CV, this time Givenchy. Surprisingly, it's the first time Moss has ever appeared in a campaign for the brand, and although we'll have to wait until January to get a glimpse, it's fair to say the images will be worth the wait - they've been shot by Mert and Marcus and styled by Carine Roitfeld.
Much to the tabloids' delight, Moss has been currently keeping herself busy in between major campaigns with a Demarchelier-lensed shoot in St Barts. Sporting a variety of high-waisted pants, bra tops, playsuits and a killer tan, she's splashed about in the sea, dragged on the fags and managed to look better than many models who are half her 38 years.
With a documentary in the works and set for release next year, it looks like there's no danger of Mossy going anywhere soon.
