Victoria Beckham bows out of second New York fashion show
Victoria Beckham has opted out of presenting her latest Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection at New York Fashion Week after reporting that the press materials are not ready to show
Scheduled to begin last night in New York, Victoria Beckham has decided to postpone the press appointments for her Victoria, Victoria Beckham fashion line.
According to Beckham's PR team the press materials the designer has been working on have grown and merit standalone activity, akin to Sunday's mainline New York presentation, which was applauded as one of the most accomplished shows of New York Fashion Week.
A date for the Victoria, Victoria Beckham showcase is yet to be confirmed, although the lower-priced, contemporary collection is complete and went on sale from the New York showroom from yesterday morning as normal.
"I'm really excited about the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line for auutumn/winter 2014," Beckham told The Telegraph. "Having worked on an innovative new creative that really embodies how the collection has grown up I am looking forward to sharing it all later in the season alongside these new visuals that are a big step forward for the line."
The sister line is responsible for taking the former Spice Girl's fashion business into the black after 2012's £15 million turnover left a tidy profit of just below £1.5 million.
Also facing production issues over in London is L'Wren Scott, who today announced that she would be cancelling her February 16 presentation. Scott will instead unveil her autumn/winter 2014 collection to press at her Paris showroom during Paris Fashion Week, at the beginning of March, and via social media.
