She's back on the set of the 'Made In Chelsea' reality TV show this morning, but Rosie Fortescue was giving very little away about the summer antics of London's cool rich set when she visited Brown Thomas, Grafton Street yesterday to help promote her sister's" fun and flirty" lingerie range.
London twins Lily and Rosie couldn't be more different. Lily, the lingerie entrepreneur behind 'Cheek Frills' is taller and sallow skinned while Rosie, the older by two minutes is smaller in height, four shoe sizes smaller and has an English rose complexion.
Together the sisters from Fulham have promoted the ethically produced brand made from 100pc Italian cotton modal and lace. Lily's best selling 'hero' product is a 70 euro box of eight mini briefs with the days of the week embroidered on the front, and an extra one marked 'happy'.
To mark their arrival into the Irish market, Lily introduced a mint green brief with 'luck' and a four-leafed clover embroidered on the front. The girls' mother Tessa was an Ainsworth before she got married and she spent four years living on the Curragh with her father who used to train race horses.
Fashion blogger Rosie has built up a considerable profile for herself and her blog, ''Atfashionforte.com, on the back of the show which captures the exploits of the rich Chelsea set and is now going into its sixth season.
Rosie is displaying the same entrepreneurial attitude of her sister and has designed iPhone and iPad covers in pony skin for Covert and she is also collaborating on a bag and with a jewellery designer.
Indeed, her 'Made In Chelsea' colleagues are very entrepreneurial too. Oliver Proudlock has his own fashion brand, Serge DeNimes, Jamie Laing has a sweet range 'Candy Kittens' and Millie Mackintosh has her own false eyelash range, with styles named after different parts of London.
Rosie blogs about what she's wearing daily and knowing she has to write encourages her to experiment with her wardrobe choices. "It's a really nice way of expressing my mood of the day, " says Rosie who has over 222,500 followers on Twitter.
"We've just been given so many opportunities from the show, it's been amazing. When I started on Made In Chelsea, my main aim was to the promote the fashion blog that I had just created and built and I really wanted to be seen working hard like I really was and to document my outfits to enable the viewers of the show to access my wardrobe like I would like to access the wardrobe of shows like 'Gossip Girl' and that sort of thing."
Yesterday the 22 -year -old twins (who went to Downe House, the same school as Kate Middleton in Hampshire) shopped at Brown Thomas. Rosie wore Alexander Wang shoes, Carven skirt and Philip Lim top while Lily opted for Gucci black leather trousers and an Alexander Wang top.
Their style of dressing is quite different because of their height and figures. "I love cute skirts and contrasting materials, silk tops, embellishment, that kind of thing," said Rosie and she has a preference for a neutral palette. While Rosie isn't a big fan of colour, she admitted that she is "obsessed" with neon necklaces made by Clare Hynes, former design editor of the Irish Independent's Weekend magazine.
"It is so much fun filming the show because most of the cast are really close friends of mine so over the summer, we've all been away and it's a good time to catch up with everyone. Oliver Proudlock is a really good friend of mine and he's such a nice guy and is into the fashion side of thing as well. Jamie and Francis are really great guys and Louise and Binky. Binky is so much fun, " said Rosie.
Her MIC co-star Spencer Matthews is now dating Stephanie Pratt from the former US reality show 'The Hills', a romantic cross over from two of the most viewed glam, reality shows on either side of the pond.
"I actually met her the other night. I had a pa (personal appearance) in a nightclub and so did Spencer and she was there and she actually seems really sweet, " said Rosie who went to school with his ex, Louise Thompson.
On the show, Rosie said "we are not told what to say , it's totally up to us. The only thing that's arranged is that we turn up to the location," said Rosie who records a few days a week and is off shortly on holidays to Provence with her parents.
Petite in size like her mother, Rosie says Lily got her height from their father's side. "I think dressing for your shape is so important. There are so many girls out there who think that they have to dress for a man or to please the eye of others but I think to learn your shape is so important ."
Asked what celebrity she'd like to dress, Rosie singled out Pippa Middleton.
