Irish teenager Thalia Heffernan is tipped for the top as she has been snapped up by top New York modelling firm Ford.
The 18-year-old, who completed her Leaving Cert in June, is celebrating her success after she was signed with the Ford model agency in New York.
Thalia travelled to the States with her Irish model agent Rebecca Morgan last Wednesday and met Ford straight off her flight.
“This is fantastic for Thalia,” Rebecca Morgan told independent.ie.
“It means she is really branching out her career. She already has an agency in London too so it’s just fantastic for her.”
Morgan, who returned to Ireland on Sunday, said Thalia will stay in New York until December 14th.
“She has a lot to do now, she’s preparing to start work over there,” she said.
“She’s getting her book arranged for the New York market, she’ll be meeting clients and organising herself for what’s to come.”
But the Dublin teen will have no problem with the new challenge, Morgan said.
“Thalia is a real people person,” she said.
“When she walks into the room, people just instantaneously love her.
“She’s fantastic on shows, she’s a really good all-rounder,” she continued.
“She has a great body, great face, great hair, Thalia has it all.”
Despite her model confidence, Thalia still had to settle the nerves before her New York debut.
“Tea and hot cross buns to calm the nerves,” she tweeted before her flight left Dublin.
Irish model agency Morgan replied, “You'll be fine honey. Travel safe with Rebecca tomorrow and most importantly enjoy it all.”
The teen star was inundated with messages of congratulations online once she announced her news.
“Big congrats to you beautiful, you will take over the world, move over Cara!,” TV personality and wife of Brian McFadden Vogue Williams wrote.
