Nigella Lawson – watch out.
The 39-year-old put her own spin on healthy summer food for her This Morning cooking debut and spiced up a dull chicken with a Chinese-inspired feast.
“I don’t know if I should say this on air but it’s definitely my favourite dish,” Holmes said as he tasted the final meal.
“We’d love to have you back,” he added.
“I’d love to come back again” Yvonne smiled.
The Irish Celebrity MasterChef contestant was dressed simply in a white shirt and looked confident as she explained the cooking process.
“You want your food to look good,” she said as she fixed up her final presentation.
The emphasis was on healthy food for the mum-of-three as she shared some tips on how to improve your cooking habits.
“Palm sugar is a far healthier option than sugar,” she advised.
Yvonne created a sauce made from a blend of balsamic vinegar, honey, mustard and soy sauce and added chillies, pineapple, garlic and onions.
The marinated chicken was then served with peppers, red onions, lightly roasted fennel seeds and pineapple cubes.
In a recent interview, Yvonne credited her boyfriend John Conroy with improving her culinary skills.
“He is a great chef,” she said of her cameraman boyfriend, “and he has probably influenced me a lot.”
