Former Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding has admitted she was ‘‘too skinny’’ during her girl band days.
The pop star believes she has a healthy attitude towards losing weight after she jumped on the juicing bandwagon like many fellow celebrities.
‘‘I was too skinny when I was with the girls, it was ageing,’’ she said in an interview with Mail Online.
The 32-year-old is on a health kick and enjoys mixing different juices as part of her daily regime and attending a juicing retreat twice a year.
‘‘I've caught the juicing bug. I love being in the kitchen and cooking and creating juices and smoothies every day.
‘‘If I want to fill myself up I will add ice and half an avocado. It looks gross, but it tastes great,’’ she said.
Citing her Irish roots, she insisted she still loved a good feed and the odd treat from the cupboard.
‘‘I'm Irish, I love stodge! I'm a picker but I do try to steer clear of gluten because it bloats me, there's lots of great gluten-free alternatives though,’’ she said.
The singer is embarking on the healthy regime to undo many of the late nights she endured during her glittering girl band career.
She was often pictured looking worse for wear coming out of nightclubs and admitted to an alcohol and sleeping pill addiction.
Harding conjured up a reputation for being a notorious party girl but has insisted that she now prefers to spend her nights watching movies at home with her partner DJ Mark Foster.
She is currently working on her new solo project and is excited to share her music with the world.
The starlet recently congratulated band mate Kimberley Walsh on her pregnancy but has insisted she has no plans to have a baby in the near future.
