Kim Kardashian on Atkins diet, so she doesn't 'toxify her milk'

NEW mum has tweeted she has been sticking to the high protein diet, low carb diet for the past two months.

The Reality TV Star showed off her post-pregnancy body in a host of revealing outfits recently during Paris Fashion Week.

The 32-year-old gave birth to daughter North in June with Kanye West, and the arrival was the first child for the couple.

“She wanted to be a healthy, nursing mum and not toxify her milk with her diet or lose weight too quickly,” a rep for Atkins tells Us Magazine.

The statement comes after Kim yesterday tweeted the reason for her weight loss.

Taking to her Twitter account, she revealed the information to her 18.5million followers after fan @AlwaysKhloverxo had asked her what her secret to losing weight was.

“I've actually been doing the Atkins diet & luv it (sic),” she admitted.

“She is eating lots of lean proteins, healthy fats like nuts and avocado, carbs, fruits, veggies and cheese. She's been doing Atkins since her doctor approved it at the end of June,” the rep elaborated.

The Atkins diet is a low-carbohydrate diet promoted by Robert Atkins, which involves eating protein-rich foods, and encourages dieters not to be a slave to counting calories.

Kim has recently come under fire for the breakup of her mum Kris’ marriage to Olympic champion Bruce Jenner.

A source close to the family recently revealed to People magazine that after Kim moved back into her mother’s house following the birth off North, tensions allegedly mounted.

“'It got crazy. It was all about Kim and North and no one paid Bruce any attention, especially Kris. This was Bruce's house, too, and he had no room. He felt like he was being shoved into a corner,” the source said.
