She firmly stepped out of her brother's shadow when her jewellery collection was showcased by a top department store.
Now, Dublin designer Chloe Townsend is set for more success with the news that her quirky collection has been taken in by luxury store Brown Thomas.
Chloe (25), whose older brother is US-based actor Stuart Townsend, is also continuing to sell her wares in the UK.
The Howth native's Willow & Clo collection made waves when it was showcased as part of the Brown Thomas Create collection last September, a month-long initiative to help up-and-coming Irish designers.
Currently living in Rathgar in Dublin, Chloe spent more than a year in Rome training with a goldsmith. Her collection consists of a range of pieces, including wrap necklaces, earrings and bracelets that vary in price from ¿50 to ¿399.
Chloe, whose big brother Stuart is currently fronting ABC drama Betrayal in the States, said she is happy to make her own name in the fashion world. "I have been involved in jewellery for seven years so now it is nice to show what I can do as a designer and an individual," Chloe said.
