MULLINGAR is bracing for an influx of One Direction fans as Niall Horan is set to return home next weekend.
The singer, who has spent most of the year on a gruelling world tour, will jet in for his godson’s christening.
His older brother Greg and wife Denise are christening son Theo in St Michael’s Church in Castletown Geoghegan Co Westmeath.
It’s believed that Simon Cowell’s label has arranged to have additional security accompany Horan home due to the large amount of fans expected to flock to the venue.
The church is the same one Greg and Denis tied the knot in last year.
The family deliberately held off celebrating the Christening until the 20-year-old was finished the band’s world tour.
It is expected Niall will only be home for about 24 hours before he will be rushed back to London to begin the promotional campaign for the band’s new album.
