Tori Spelling’s husband enters rehab for 'intense' sex addiction treatment
Dean McDermott allegedly cheated on Tori in December and rumours have continued to circulate their marriage is in serious trouble.
Now Dean, 47, has confirmed he has voluntarily checked himself into a rehabilitation facility.
“I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family," he told People magazine in an exclusive statement. "I take full responsibility for my actions and have voluntarily checked myself into a treatment centre to address some health and personal issues.”
Tori and Dean have four children together, Liam, six, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and Finn, 16 months.
In his statement Dean added how his main focus is his family.
“I am grateful to be getting the help I need so I can become the husband and father my family deserves,” he said.
A source also added to People that Dean is receiving intense treatment but is allowed to leave and visit his children at their home.
It seems Dean has listened to his wife of seven years after Life & Style magazine previously reported that Tori had asked him to get professional help to save their marriage.
“Dean’s always crossing the line and making women uncomfortable with his flirting,” a source told the publication. “He’s always had passion, but the fear that it’s become an addiction is a nightmare for her. She just wants the man she fell in love with back. If it weren’t for the kids, she’d have left him already.”
Meanwhile another source told People magazine earlier this month that the former Beverly Hills 90210 star was "devastated" and "much more heartbroken than anyone realised" about the cheating rumours surrounding her husband.
