On-off celebrity couple Liz Hurley and Shane Warne have called it quits, this time for good.
The famous duo called time on their relationship only months after attempting to make it work again.
“It is very sad and they tried to make it work but there were just too many issues in the way,” a source told ‘Hello!’ magazine.
“Elizabeth is taking it one day at a time. She will always be extremely fond of Shane.”
The split comes after months of speculation that not all was well for the once loved-up couple. They got engaged in September 2011 but the wedding never came to fruition.
Meanwhile, cricketer Warne posted a typical cryptic tweet overnight.
“The past should be the past & stay there. It destroys the future,” he wrote online.
He added; “Live life for what tomorrow has to offer, not for what happened yesterday.”
Now, Hurley (48) will spend Christmas with her son in the Herefordshire mansion which herself and Warne reportedly purchased for over €7m.
Former other half Warne will remain in Australia for the festive season.
He could be staying with his ex-wife Simone Callaghan and three kids, a relationship Hurley was reportedly never comfortable with.
