Freddie Starr has been re-bailed by detectives investigating the Jimmy Savile sex abuse scandal.
The 69-year-old comedian was originally arrested on suspicion of sex offences last year and bailed until this month.
However, officers confirmed Starr has been bailed again until next year.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: " On 1 November 2012 officers from Operation Yewtree arrested a 69-year-old man (Yewtree 2) in connection with the investigation.
"The man, from Warwickshire, was arrested on suspicion of sexual offences and taken into custody locally. He was later bailed to return in December pending further inquiries.
"He has now been re-bailed to return pending further inquiries. Next due in February."
Yewtree was set up after allegations were made that late DJ Savile had abused hundreds of victims over decades.
Starr falls under the strand of the investigation termed "Savile and others".
So far more than a dozen people have been arrested as part of Operation Yewtree.
