Stan Lee up for Superman cameo
"There are people reading Marvel comic books that would have never thought to read a comic book before. It helps the comic book business," he explained.
"The movie business has been unbelievably incredible. The Marvel movies are about the biggest money-making movies of all."
The comic book creator then quipped: "I keep thinking that DC could probably make a lot more money with Superman and Batman if they announced that I'd have a cameo in it! People wouldn't believe it - they'd have to go to the theatre to see it!"
Stan, who has made cameos in many of the Marvel films with upcoming appearances in Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Guardians Of The Galaxy, said he enjoys his brief screen sojourns.
"I love them all. My cameos are like my characters," he said, before remembering his work in The Amazing Spider-Man and Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer.
Stan also revealed he would like spin-off films for all his characters.
"I'd like to see a standalone movie with all our characters. And we will eventually," he said. "They're working on a Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Ant-Man, everything. I love standalone but by the same token, the public love when we team them up like in the Avengers. They love to see the characters together in one movie."
