THERE was no standing on the sidelines for RTE sports broadcaster Evanne Ni Chuilinn as she took centre stage to marry partner Brian Fitzsimons.
The couple tied the knot at a church in the grounds of Mount Druid in Castletown Geoghegan, Co Westmeath, with their one-year-old son Seimi joining the festivities and carrying the rings to the altar.
A host of Evanne's RTE friends were there to toast the beaming couple, including fellow sports broadcasters Marty Morrissey, Jacqui Hurley and Hugh Cahill.
Evanne (31), originally from Kilkenny, looked effortlessly elegant in an ivory gown with delicate lace bodice.
Speaking earlier this summer, she said her wedding to youth worker Brian would be very much a family affair with little Seimi being involved.
"We might give him the rings to carry up. We just need to make sure he doesn't eat them," she laughed.
True to her word, Seimi did carry the rings to the altar and later walked down the aisle with his mum and dad.
Because of their hectic schedules, the couple went on honeymoon to the United States before the wedding.
However, they plan to take another break, this time with Seimi to Portugal.
