Smith: I don't mind stripping off
Louis Smith has insisted he has no problem getting his kit off for naked photo shoots.
The Olympic gymnast and Strictly Come Dancing champion has become a sex symbol, appearing naked in several magazines, as well as a gay icon.
Louis said: "They're not that bad to shoot, as long as it's not cold and there isn't a room full of people standing around and gawping... It's not like you need a stylist when you're naked!"
But he added: "Doing those photo shoots was strange. It's a bit different. My mum loved the shots, though. She thought they were brilliant. I felt a little bit embarrassed.
"I don't really feel like a sex symbol, but people do seem to like those pictures."
The 23-year-old also admitted he is more proud of his success as a gymnast, than finding fame winning Strictly.
"In the long run, memories of me winning Strictly will fade but I'll always have my Olympic medals and I'll always be the pioneer of gymnastics," he said. "I'd like to be remembered as one of Britain's most successful gymnasts."
His success on Strictly gave him time to reassess his options and he says he has several TV projects in the pipeline and would like to launch his own fashion label or clothing range.
Does he worry about his fame subsiding? "I wouldn't worry about it at all. I'd just carry on working my backside off, as I always have."
