FORMER Eurovision presenter Carrie Crowley could be on her way to becoming Ireland's version of sci-fi queen Sigourney Weaver.
The 48-year-old broadcaster-turned-actress appears in the upcoming film 'Earthbound', which tells the story of Joe, a science-fiction fanatic who believes he's an alien and sets out to convince the girl of his dreams he's from a different planet.
Due to be released on March 15, the movie sees Waterford-born Crowley talk aliens and alternative universes in the role of Vera Ellis. And although it's a small role, it's a pivotal one.
She also features as a gangster's wife in Irish film 'An Inch', set to hit cinemas later this year.
