Sinitta has said that The X Factor wouldn't be the same if Louis Walsh left.
The former pop star, one of the show's mentors, also joked that they would have to persuade Louis to stay, after he said that his time on the ITV programme could be up after the upcoming tenth season.
"I don't think it would be the same without Louis because he's been there since season one - he's the only original judge - so it would be very odd. I think we're going to have to talk to him," she said.
Sinitta said that she is "involved behind the scenes" in the new series.
"You won't be seeing me in any leaf dresses," she quipped, referring to her revealing palm leaf outfit in 2009.
The mother-of-two revealed they have discovered some "really good talent" on this year's shows, which will return to ITV in late August.
"They always find them. Just when you think that's it, there's a new breed. And there's a lot of new, young kids this year," she added.
She hopes to find the next One Direction, who were at the world premiere of their new film One Direction: This Is Us.
"I knew they would be big in the UK, I had no idea it would be world domination. And boy, do they deserve it. They work so hard, they never stop," she continued.
"Their appeal is: they're clean-cut but they're edgy, they're handsome, they sing, they've got a sense of humour and they love their fans. The fact that they remember their first fans who waited for them outside The X Factor years ago, before they were famous, says a lot about what they are like. And they love their mums."
