SINEAD O’Connor is to marry her fourth husband in Las Vegas tomorrow. The controversial singer announced the news on RTE radio today on her way to the airport to catch a flight.
She wrote on her website that she is to marry her ‘beloved boyfriend’ Barry Herridge tomorrow – her 45th birthday.
She said it was her ‘dream wedding ceremony’ and described herself as ‘very happy girl’.
The mother-of-four looked for love very publically recently with a campaign to find a man online, on Twitter and on the Late Late show.
Her fourth husband is believed to be an addiction counsellor for children.
She spoke to John Murray on his RTE show today about her wedding plans.
She told the Sunday Independent last month that she wouldn't rule out a fourth marriage but definitely wouldn't be having any more children, after having a tubal ligation procedure at Beaumont Hospital in recent weeks.
"I've spent my adult life either, trying, or not trying, to get pregnant so I had my tubes done. Anyway, I'm a basketcase when I'm pregnant, so for a successful relationship that can't happen," she added.
The singer split with third husband Steve Cooney in March, after eight months.
However, she described all of her three husbands -- which also include music producer John Reynolds and journalist Nick Sommerland -- as "very nice people" who have never asked for anything in settlements.
"I think they were all just glad to see the back of me," she laughed.
She generated huge publicity by her public search for love and her admissions that she wanted a man and missed sex desperately.
She even attended the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking festival in September.
Despite all the publicity generated by her search for her new partner -- which included an appearance on 'The Late Late Show' to proposition host Ryan Tubridy -- Ms O'Connor insisted she had no regrets about it.
"I've had such fun in the past few weeks, more fun than I have ever had in my whole life. Hopefully this weekend will be even more craic,” she said at the time.
She later wrote a story for the Sunday Independent describing how she went to a doctor to find her G Spot and had a ‘G shot’ to enhance sensation.
She then got a massive tattoo of Jesus on her chest.
She recently lost two stone when she came off medication for a misdiagnosed condition.
“A lot of the weight loss is down to me coming off medication after being mistakenly diagnosed as being bi-polar. I had to come off the meds gradually but once I stopped completely last month, it's just been dropping off," she said.
The new image comes as she prepares to release her best album in nearly a decade, and performs a one-off show in Dublin's Olympia next month.
She is also hoping for an Oscar next year, after teaming up with actress Glenn Close.
