Charlie Sheen has once again helped out Lindsay Lohan, by getting her something to wear to a recent celebrity gala.

Li-Lo wowed on the red carpet at the amfAR charity event in New York last week in a nude-and-silver beaded fringe designer gown by Theia.

Now celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch has revealed to Us Weekly that Charlie, 47, called him just hours before the gala to ask him to dress Lindsay, 26, for the event, and even offered to "go halfsies" with her to pay for the dress.

Bloch, who revealed Charlie called him personally, said: "Never in a business like this do you see a celebrity pay for another celebrity. He's very considerate."

Last year the former Two And A Half Men star bailed the Mean Girls actress out by helping to pay her tax bill.

The Anger Management star told Jay Leno he was offered a good sum to do a cameo in Scary Movie 5, in which he shared a scene with Lindsay.

He went on: "So when I heard they hired Lindsay, I thought, 'Fabulous,' but then they took half my money to give to her and she didn't get it all. And when I found this out, I said, 'You got shorted a hundred grand,' so I... gave it to her."
