SHARON Osbourne has accused Lady Gaga of being a ‘hypocrite’, claiming the star’s anti-bullying message is a publicity stunt.
She made the revelations in her upcoming book, after her daughter Kelly clashed with the singer on Twitter.
Kelly was then made the target of abuse and threats from Lady Gaga’s fans.
“By not repudiating her fans' bullying, she was condoning it. That's why I called her a hypocrite," the 60-year-old said in the book, which is syndicated in The Sun.
"I was so disappointed because I had always been a huge fan. I have been to three of her shows and she's undeniably a very talented woman.
"But you can't bang on about being anti-bullying and then refuse to tell your fans to stop haranguing other young women with nasty threats."
Celebrity blogger became the target of Lady Gaga’s fans after the singer accused him of stalking her, after he was spotted looking at apartments in her building.
The two were good friends were Gaga began her career, however have drifted apart in the last 18 months.
The singer has struggled with new track ‘Applause’ – the single and video failed to match her previous achievements.
Critics labelled the track ‘a flop’ – with many claiming fans had become tired of the singer’s over-the-top style and videos.
She releases her third studio album next month.
