IRISH actress Saoirse Ronan has said she has no problem with doing sex scenes – but admitted she didn't want her father on set when it happens.
The actress, who was speaking at the Galway Film Fleadh, said she had no issue with shots of a sexual nature if the scenes were pivotal to the film.
Saoirse signed autographs and also met privately with fan Missy Keating (10), who attended with mum Yvonne. Missy appeared in the closing film of the Fleadh, 'The Sea'.
Saoirse told how her parents had shielded her from graphic sections of movies she was working in, including 'Atonement' when she was just 13.
Now 19, she is more comfortable with adult themes, albeit without her dad's watchful eye.
She told how, on the set of 'The Host', kissing her co-star proved embarrassing, leading her to ask her father to turn his back.
"He was very good about it and he's my dad and he doesn't want to watch it either," she said.
The Fleadh came to a close last night as 'Run and Jump' won best Irish feature, while Best International Feature went to 'Discoverdale'. The Best Animation prize went to 'The Missing Scarf'.
